Welcome to new 3M BIC tenant Coterie Marketing

We would like to offer a warm welcome to new tenant Coterie Marketing, newly arrived at the 3M BIC.

 

Coterie Marketing is a dedicated channel, partner marketing, and strategic execution team. Since 2013 they have worked with over 60 global technology brands such as BT, Atos, Genpact, VMware, Experian, Riverbed, Fujitsu, delivering 400+ value propositions and digital go to market plans. They have been recognised for their success with many awards including CIM, UK Content Award winners 2020, B2B marketing, CRN, UK Digital Growth Awards.

The core team of 12 is based predominately in the UK with 20+ associate team members dotted around the globe. They are the only channel marketing agency to have a proven, university-backed, and industry-recognised methodology, which they follow to execute solutions that help clients create, manage, and measure partnerships from channel through to end user.

Coterie has a long history with the University of Huddersfield and has conducted multiple pieces of joint research into the specialist field of partner marketing along with delivering guest lectures. The close relationship with the University has continued to develop. Although Coterie has historically prided itself on being a virtual agile marketing agency, the decision was made to create an innovation hub in the 3M BIC to enable an ever-closer knowledge transfer with the University and to also provide the Coterie core team with a place to meet and work in the new hybrid world.

The future for Coterie is an interesting one – technology has and continues to play an important role during the pandemic for example, enabling remote schooling, employees working from home, supporting scientific research, allowing the seamless switch to online shopping. It is also more interconnected with a rising number of companies working together. McKinsey call it eco system 2.0 – where technology businesses collaborating and working together will increase. In fact, these combined and indirect business engagements represent 64% of global IT revenues.

Traditionally partner marketing is an underserved area of the marketing curriculum (currently on no degree course) and marketing departments in generally. By working closely with the University, Coterie has an ambition to drive greater standards, visibility, and education for partner marketers across the globe.
