Henry joined as Chief Executive in April 2025, having previously worked for NatWest leading its business accelerator programme across the North of England. Prior to that, Henry was Head of SME Support at the West Yorkshire Combined Authority where he led a team responsible for growing the region’s business base through a range of projects related to access to finance, innovation, energy efficiency and business start-up. Henry is a qualified leadership coach / mentor and is also involved in the running of his family business. He has worked in SME support and economic regeneration for over 30 years.

Sally has been at the 3M BIC since it first opened its doors and is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the centre and tenant liaison. She has 30 years of customer service experience in the financial and hospitality trade.

Janine oversees the technology team’s activities and relevant projects, liaising with our clients and stakeholders and is our main contact for technology enquiries. With a lifelong interest in different technologies and completing her MSc at University of Huddersfield, she has also qualified on the Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) machines, which can print a variety of materials.

Jordan is a former student at the University of Huddersfield, successfully completing both an undergraduate and a postgraduate degree. He has recently started in the role of Incubator Manager at the Health Innovation Centre (opening December 2025). The new centre will be focused on assisting for early-stage health and wellbeing innovators.

Emily has been a part of the 3M BIC team since 2012, initially providing PR and copywriting services before more recently taking on the role of Marketing and Communications Manager. Emily is the go-to press contact at the Centre, she is also responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy and content creation. She is a CIPR member.

Maisie joined the team in 2016 as Events Assistant as part of her placement year at the University of Huddersfield. She has since moved to the Marketing department as Events and Marketing Officer and is now the Centre’s Marketing Officer. She is responsible for marketing the overall centre, its office and lab spaces and technology, as well as updating the 3M BIC website and managing 3M BIC and associated partner’s social media platforms.

Lydia joined the team in 2025 as marketing and events assistant. As part of her Business Management degree at the University of Sheffield, Lydia is completing her 12-month placement at 3M BIC, bringing fresh insight and experience from her studies. Lydia’s time is split between our marketing and events department, supporting health innovation projects, whilst occasionally overseeing our 3M BIC reception desk.

With 25 years’ experience of research and development within the manufacturing industry. Georgina aims to introduce business sectors to the technology and expertise within the 3M BIC.
By engaging and supporting SMEs to explore the potential of additive manufacturing, and related technologies within the centre. This includes areas of collaboration within the University and related grant funding opportunities.

Anything finance related is Roo’s core focus at the 3M BIC. She has over 25 years’ experience and splits her time between the 3M BIC and the University of Huddersfield’s finance team. She is ACCA accredited.

James is the Health Innovation Technician based in the Health Innovation Maker Space at the 3M BIC. His role is to assist the Huddersfield Health Innovation Partnership team’s transition to the National Health Innovation Campus, whilst aiding companies with the design and development of health and wellbeing products. James completed his PhD in Product Design at the University of Huddersfield, and has a background of lecturing, research and working in industry for component part and electrical manufacturers.

Anastasis is our in-house product designer and has been at 3M BIC since 2021. With a BEng, MEng in Mechanical Engineering, he is responsible for the management, consultancy and subsequent production of client work. That involves our wide range of in-house technology and software, from 3D modelling and product prototyping, non-destructive study with XCT and using photogrammetry scanning for enhanced engineering projects.

Steve joined the 3M BIC in 2015, having worked in various roles from programming to systems and network administration. He is responsible for the centre’s day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure, including networks and services, A/V, end-user hardware and software, as well as supporting 3M BIC businesses with their varying and sometimes complex requirements.

A former Design Technology and ICT teacher, Stephen joined the team in 2019 to support the work of the design team to ensure smooth transition from design to production and assist with the AM/3D printing machines. Prior to his 29-year teaching career, Stephen spent six years in the engineering sector.

Jason has been responsible for maintaining and cleaning the centre, customer service and liaising with staff and our businesses since it first opened. He also monitors the centre’s waste and recycling processes, since the introduction of our environmental targets.
