Tackle provides an independent business consultancy service to improve profitability and efficiency for owners and managing directors in the SME sector throughout Yorkshire.
Tackle’s goal is to unlock value through General Management consultancy. This can either be achieved on a defined project basis, or from longer-term input gained by operating in the role of temporary “right hand man” – a position that many businesses can’t put in place permanently until much further into their life-cycle.
Tackle was set up by Richard Hitchcock after 35 years in board and senior management positions across a wide range of industry sectors and disciplines. This included 10 years as operations and marketing director at a £40m turnover SME based in Yorkshire. Prior to that, Richard’s corporate experience included many years in the field of business consultancy, as well as other disciplines.
Tackle offers a hands-on consultancy service that focuses on working closely with owners and MDs to benefit from independent expertise in key areas.
Richard explains, “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the 3M BIC Network and I’m really looking forward to meeting as many of the businesses as soon as I can. I provide consultancy in the key areas of strategy and planning, management processes, workload optimisation, organisation and people, and sales & marketing.
“Problems in these areas are frequently the root cause of issues for businesses around inefficiency, lack of growth, leadership and management time, and strategic focus.
“From time to time all businesses have issues. When this happens, the benefit of having a fresh pair of eyes can be truly liberating for business owners.
“I’m passionate about helping to make businesses more profitable, more efficient, and better places to work and, for me, there is nothing more satisfying than watching a business grow and adapt where I’ve had a hand in that process.”
