If you are heading over to the Kirklees Business Conference on 21 March, our Resident Professor of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Professor Graham Leslie CBE, Hon. DBA is a keynote speaker and has been invited to talk about his career to help inspire other business people. Why not pop along to hear his career journey?

As one of Yorkshire’s and the UK’s most celebrated successful philanthropic business people, Graham has mentored many companies in various forms of difficulty and insolvency and turned them into exceedingly profitable businesses.

Serial entrepreneur Graham was recently honoured by Her Majesty the Queen with a CBE for his support and mentoring of entrepreneurs within the UK.

From a council house in Middlesbrough, to creating the first ever all-seater Stadium, establishing from a lock up in Huddersfield to the largest Privately-owned Store Brand Pharmaceutical company; advising a British Prime Minister and meeting and spending an evening with President Bill Clinton, you will have the opportunity to hear a potted version of his business journey and how Yorkshire’s entrepreneurs and enterprising businesses can benefit from working within the community alongside the 3M BIC and the University of Huddersfield.

Graham will be speaking from approximately 14:40 – 15:40 in the John Smith’s Suite, which has a limited capacity so please arrive early. The format will be an address by Graham (20min), interview (20min) and an audience Q&A session (20min).
