NPL has launched a network to support SME Manufacturers in the region. The network will provide members with access to NPL expertise, knowledge and capabilities and will include services, such as annual artefact checks (to help determine the member’s measurement capabilities), and annual environmental survey (to identify any potential issues caused by ambient temperature fluctuations).

Good quality measurement used to validate product quality is critical to manufacturing – NPL will help businesses to ensure that the right measurements are being made at the right time (and place) in the right environment by suitably trained personnel. The benefits are assured quality, less scrap parts, a better trained workforce and ultimately more profits.
