Our design and visualisation manager, Paul Tallon, was invited to speak at the 10th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (AHFE 2019), which took place in Washington, US, in July.
The AHFE conference acts as an international platform to share and exchange scientific information on theoretical, generic, and applied areas of human factors and ergonomics.
Paul co-chaired the Additive Manufacturing, New Materials and Industrial Processes session as part of its detailed technical program. He also gave a presentation around the holistic approach to additive manufacture, addressing the whole process, from concept to CAD, to testing and print, topology to optimisation and the support structure generation and verification on XCT. The presentation demonstrated how this positively affects the supply chain of a product to an international audience of industry professionals.
