The 3M Buckley Innovation Centre (3M BIC) is hosting a series of Business Leadership Masterclass events for companies keen to learn from experienced business people about the challenges they have faced in establishing their own businesses.
This is an opportunity not to be missed. Come and hear about what motivates serial entrepreneurs and learn about the highs and the lows of the entrepreneurial journey. Ask them your business questions to get honest advice from someone who has been there and done it.
Our inaugural event will take place on the Thursday 14th May, 5.30pm- 8pm, at the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre, Firth Street, Huddersfield, HD1 3BD. Come along and join us for a glass of wine and nibbles and have the opportunity to network with other businesses that are keen to learn how to turn their business into a success.
Prof Graham Leslie (Hons D.B.A) is a UK serial entrepreneur, philanthropist and mentor. Prof Leslie founded Galpharm International in 1982 and steered the company to success as the UK’s biggest supplier of non-prescriptive medicine, before selling to the Perrigo Group for $88m in 2008. He was also founder chairman and creator, alongside Sir John Harman, of the Galpharm Stadium (now John Smith’s) – the first ever 25,000 all-seater football and rugby stadium in the world.
Through his masterclass, Prof Leslie will guide the audience through his personal journey in business, providing a unique insight into the companies he has invested in since the Galpharm days; why he invested in them, the challenges he faced, and how he was able to reinvent each business differently so they became more stable and helped secure their futures.
The event promises to be light-hearted, interactive and informal, giving guests the opportunity to talk with Prof Leslie about any business issues they are facing, whether it’s advice on how to inject new life into their business, or help to stand out from their competitors. Prof Leslie is also keen to analyse companies and see if they would benefit from facilities at the 3M BIC and the University of Huddersfield.
