A cohort of Indian digital and tech businesses visited the 3M BIC on Friday 27 May as part of a joint event between the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Northern Powerhouse Universities to promote International Trade.
The Northern Powerhouse Universities Showcase Event for Indian Digital Technology Businesses was designed to offer a significant group of Indian digital and tech companies the opportunity to meet with Northern Powerhouse universities to explore trade opportunities across the region and build up relationships.

- Axis Cades
- Tata Consultancy Services
- Tata Technologies
- Hindustan Computers Limited Tech Mahindra
- Firstsource
Marian Sudbury, Director English Regions for DIT, opened the event, it was also attended by representatives from 16 Northern universities and Northern Powerhouse Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).
The event showcased the facilities at the 3M BIC, including guided tours of Innovation Avenue, as well as the broader capabilities at the University of Huddersfield, including talent and graduate recruitment, research and innovation collaboration.
