Verification & Inspection

Having designed and manufactured a prototype it is often necessary to ascertain if the original CAD design is reflected in the finished item and if internal, often hidden, parts are present.

Product verification provides an assurance that an item is accurate, and that form and function have been maintained.

Product verification can be used on items in any material and that have been produced by any method.

We offer a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and industrial X-Ray Computerised Tomography (XCT) as part of our advanced metrology and verification facilities, together with visual surface inspection using a range of optical and laser microscopes in the Zeiss Imaging Suite on Innovation Avenue.

The Zeiss Imaging Suite also offers basic scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis providing elemental and chemical analysis of the sample inside the SEM.

Together with our partners at the University of Huddersfield and at the National Physical Laboratory, we offer one of the most comprehensive prototyping and verification capabilities in the region.
