In this morning seminar with breakfast, join HMRC and the Department for International Trade to hear the latest updates to customs import and export procedures including import duties which may affect your business. Find out how to save time and money by adopting special customs procedures such as customs warehousing and inward and outward processing relief, as well as preparing your business for future scenarios.
This event will cover up-to-date information on:

  • Updates to the Customs Declarations Service (CDS)
  • How to use and navigate the CDS
  • Potential and existing import and export tariffs and duties
  • Import procedures which may affect your supply chains and potential easements the UK will make
  • Customs special procedure including customs warehousing, inward and outward processing relief, end use and temporary admission
  • AEO status and its suitability to your business
  • Export preference: whether it applies to your business and the benefits (including EUR1 certification)

John has over 34 years’ experience in various areas of international trade including specialisation in Customs Warehousing, Customs Freight Simplified Procedures and auditing companies’ international trade systems. Since 2002 he has been delivering presentations relating to international trade regimes.
