Highfield Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (RQF)

Who is this qualification for?

This course is essential for anyone working in a catering, hospitality or retail setting (or those about to start work in the industry) where food is prepared, cooked and handled. Candidates will be equipped with the practical skills necessary to work safely with food. It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest-control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners, and laundry and delivery personnel.
The Highfield Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF includes those qualifications regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation. Candidates who successfully pass the exam will receive a nationally recognised certificate awarded by Highfield Qualifications.

Assessment Method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination. Learners must complete 20 questions within 45 minutes. Successful learners will have to achieve a pass mark of 60% (12/20).
