The collaboration between network member Bob’s Business and HM Revenue & Customs has been nominated in the category of ‘Outstanding Security Training Initiative’ in this year’s Outstanding Security Performance Awards UK (OSPAs).
Bob’s Business created an innovative phishing simulation product Think Before You Click® in which end-users are trained to spot malicious emails within their inbox. A series of phishing templates have been designed to simulate phishing emails that employees may spot in their emails.
Instead of punishing employees for opening the false emails and clicking on the links inside, Think Before You Click® educates the user by pointing out the mistakes they make before suggesting them to take an educational course designed to mitigate the mistakes made previously.
The Outstanding Security Performance Awards acknowledge exemplary products in the security industry from around the globe, recognising and promoting the work of individuals and organisations who achieve excellence.
It brings together security personnel and associations across a country and, in future, provide a focal point for the security sector worldwide.
Owner and managing director of Bob’s Business, Melanie Oldham, said, “It’s an honour to be nominated for the Outstanding Security Performance Awards this year.
“The OSPAs global outlook makes being nominated extra special as it shows the strength of the service we are providing.
“We are immensely proud of the work we have done with HM Revenue & Customs in providing an educational and proactive phishing simulation assessment that has shown proven results and a reduction of potential phishing breaches.”
The Outstanding Security Performance Awards are hosted on the 2nd March at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square.
