3M BIC tenant BioEden has appointed a new head of operations. Jen Codman joined the organisation in June and has been brought on board to review internal processes in BioEden and help strengthen its market position.
Prior to BioEden, Jen worked at the British Red Cross for 4½ years, and worked as senior people and learning manager for the last 2 years covering the Yorkshire area, where she managed a team of six that supported approximately 120 staff and 1,000 volunteers. Her role focussed on workforce planning, learning and development, performance management and appraisals, volunteer recruitment, and developing and delivering core training for staff and volunteers.
She has a Masters in Project Planning and Management and is currently studying for a CIPD L5 Qualification in Human Resource Management.
As BioEden’s head of operations, her role will involve reviewing and promoting the BioEden offering – looking at its customer base, market position and reviewing its strategy. Jen will also support colleagues to define and improve internal business processes, help enhance communications within the business, and manage external relationships with partners and other outsourced providers. She will also look at developing the company’s core HR policies and practices.
Jen said: “I’m really excited to be part of the BioEden team. We have a great offer out there and with the medical advances been made and growing research into stem cell therapy, I think more and more people will choose to bank their children’s stem cells with us, in case they are needed in the future. The fact we can harvest stem cells from lost baby teeth makes it’s an even easier decision.”
BioEden is set to launch a new product for customers in UK and US and has recently revamped its website.
