A subsidiary of the University of Huddersfield, the 3M BIC is named after business leader Sir George Buckley. Born in Yorkshire, Sir George is a graduate and has a PhD from the University of Huddersfield and is former Chair, President and CEO of the multi-national 3M corporation, well-known as a world-leader in innovation.
The 3M BIC also houses the University of Huddersfield’s Enterprise Hub which supports around 100 student and graduate entrepreneurs every year.

We offer high-end, flexible workspace for growing companies, from start-up offices, medium to large offices, small and large labs, as well as office & lab combo spaces.
Our flexible working options are designed for those wanting to adopt a hybrid approach to working, including pay-as-you-go hot desking.
We have five meeting and event spaces that cater for 2 to 80 delegates and come in a variety of sizes and flexible room set ups for all event needs.

By car
The 3M Buckley Innovation Centre is located on Firth Street close to the University of Huddersfield campus. On-site parking is limited and reserved for staff permit holders between 6am and 6pm, monitored by an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system.
A small number of visitor spaces may be available and must be booked in advance via reception.
Please note that unauthorised vehicles will incur a fine.
After 6pm, the car park is open to the public and managed through the RingGo app.
If on-site parking is not available, several nearby NCP car parks are within a five-minute walk of the Centre, with rates starting from as little as 95p per hour or £2.95 per day.

By public transport
Huddersfield railway station and the main bus station are both within a 10 to 15-minute walk of the 3M BIC, providing convenient access for visitors arriving by train or bus. Regular services run to and from surrounding towns and cities including Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Bradford.
By bike
Secure bike racks are available on-site and the local area is well connected by cycling routes. Showers and changing facilities are also available for those commuting by bike.
You will get the chance to explore our high-spec meeting spaces that are fully equipped with the latest AV Technology, State of the art labs and our available office space.
