Our Technology Director, Dr Michael Wilson, headed to the bright lights of Copenhagen at the end of May to talk at 3D Printing Live! – the Nordic Additive Manufacturing Show.

Michael delivered a seminar on the design, development and prototyping of specialist surgical instruments facilitated by additive manufacturing (AM). Michael used 3M BIC tenant Innovate Orthopaedics as a case study to demonstrate how AM is used in the medical industry, with a specific focus on producing jigs to surgeons’ specifications and manufacturing ‘in theatre’ during a procedure.
